I've had this weird obsession with Punxatawney Phil the Groundhog for the past couple weeks. Primarily it's the cool name, I think. Anyway, this poem fragment got stuck in my head. The title should be 'The Doom of Punxatawney Phil'. I have no idea who wants to kill him or why. That'll develop if I do more of the poem.

.........
He laid aside his rubber duck. He seized his saxophone;
And vowed that ere' this hour was out Phil'd rue the deed he'd done.
He blared the Death March on the sax as he strode o'er the hill;
To the burrow in the bank where bided Punxatawney Phil.
