Mar. 5th, 2005 08:49 pmToday it's Spring. Last night was still Winter. There's something in the air, in the quality of the light that tells me this. Some years the transition is so gradual that you never know, but not this year. I'm happy.

What a godawful mess they've had so far at Melbourne. I'm sure Paul Stoddardt's future in F1 is rather limited at this point. It's a pity, as I always liked the way the fellow kept plugging away with substandard equipment, and it's not like F1 has enought teams left to lose any.
Still, they're starting the pre-race show as I type, so it's evidently going to come off. Renault's new car is strange-looking. It's nice to see something different. I wonder if Schumacher can win from last place?

Today at the grocery store, I was rung up by an African emigre clerk with the unlikely name of 'Henry Kissinger'.
