A man screws a Hedgehog on the advice of his witch-doctor. What amazes me is that not a single article I've seen about this mentions The Hedgehog Song.

The whole Christopher Radko thing is starting to get annoying. The man bought out the old 'Shiny Brite' name, and began making retro-style Christmas lights and ornaments of the sort that haven't been available for 40 years. So far so good. He's selling these as 'collectibles', though, so that they charge $40 for a box of quite plain ornaments, and up to $60 for a single fancy ornament. That's ludicrous.

All that being said, I still buy his stuff. I love the Swirly Lights, and, although they're apparently not in the catalogue anymore, I've got several hundred of the tiny half inch glass balls. Those things fascinated me as a child. Back in either 2000 or 2001, I did a 1930s tree, and put all of those on there, together with the several hundred old ones that I had left from my childhood. It looked rather more spectacular than one might expect, just dripping micro-ornaments, with three sparse strings of very old-fashioned lights (24 bulbs total).

The cleaning people are really starting to get to me. It's got to be some sort of cult. The greeting is invariably "How ya DOIN'?". Never "Hi", never "Good Evening", never "How are you?". They're friendly, and they do a good job, but they're severely weirding me out.
