This is hilarious! An advertising agency, Adam Kluger, specializes in paying musicians to mention their clients' products in songs. They solicited business from a phony company set up by an anti-advertising group. Predictably, the correspondence ended up on the web. Kluger started making churlish threats to try to suppress the material, and what would have been a minor embarassment is now in the process of blowing up into a huge public debacle.

I love this kind of stuff!

Something that everyone seems to be overlooking in all of the frumus over the AIG bailout - the US government now has a controlling interest in the company that underwrites much of the world's insurance for banks and corporations. That's one hell of a big weapon, if not an immediately obvious one.
