Meanwhile, in the United States...
Jul. 16th, 2010 09:21 pmI have been generally disappointed with the ongoing redesign of American coinage, with their off-centre portraits, bleedover edges, and generally weird reverse designs. This, however, rocks!

This is so surreally cynical that even I am impressed. Because the economy is so shitty, you can hire people to do almost anything. Various 'activist' groups are now hiring unemployed people to be protesters. Apparently having protesters out isn't considered a show of passion or numbers or anything else anymore - it's just kind of expected of left-wing groups that they'll have protesters, and nobody really cares where they come from or why they're there. The people who actually believe in the causes are presumably too busy to bother. So far have protests sunk from having the power to shock or make you think, that they've become background, conspicuous only in their absence.
