So, yesterday one of my MLP stories got a burst of readers, and the referring domain was spacebattles.com, unexpectedly enough.
On a completely unrelated note, here's a sweet little fic that manages to portray the ponies just right, bizarre physical mannerisms and all. seems to be the post in question. I'm pleased that he liked it, but the 'bizarre physical mannerisms' comment is most unexpected. There's really not a lot of body language in the story, just some mare and foal style comforting between Celestia and Gilda. It interests me that it seems to have made an impression on him apart from the story, and the moreso that when I reflect on it, there are a lot of stories that *don't* show much indication that the author thinks of the characters as primarily equine.
Every so often, something holds up a mirror to my furriness.
Edit: And today it's getting even more traffic. I'd never have expected a site called 'spacebattles' to become a major referrer for an FiM story.
