Soup-Eating Tuesday

Some Frenchman killed himself to show how much he hates gay people. That sure puts me in my place. If you're going to be a deliberate dumbass, I suppose there's some mitigation in being sincere in your dumbassery.
Making a grand, self-defeating gesture is just so stereotypically French, too.

There seem to have been only 24 people killed in that tornado. That's amazing! It's still sad, but seriously, that's an incredibly low death toll for that kind of tornado.

I wanted to get some rubber flipflops, but I ended up with a kit to make indian moccasins instead. Some days are like that.

Whole Food's prices make me sad, but the hot and sour soup from their deli is among the best I've ever had.

I'm starting to get in the mood for the Five Hundred. The rituals that mark the passing of the years are more enjoyable for me this year than last year. Things will never again be like they were, but it's getting better.
