Fire!

So, about five this morning I woke up smelling smoke of some sort. It had very much the smell of chicken being barbecued over a hickory fire, but people usually don't make barbecue in the pre-dawn hours, and it kept getting stronger, which was worrisome. While I was waffling, Engine Company 6 pulled up outside, albeit without siren. They spent about ten minutes shining the searchlight here and there, and swarming about, before they left as quietly as they had come. I'm left to conclude that something happened, but apparently nothing very bad
