Shut it down forever!
Oct. 1st, 2013 11:42 pmI'm not a criminal. I'm not a racial or ethnic minority. I'm not an illegal alien, a welfare queen, or chronically unemployed. I belong to none of these groups on which the government unceasingly showers gifts. I'm one of the people who instead has to pay for those gifts.
I'm not even the sort of wealthy liberal who can use the government for a force multiplier to coerce people into 'saving the earth' by using shower heads that trickle, toilets that won't flush right, and buying overpriced 'renewable energy'.
The government, in short, with its 'non-essential services', takes my money, and uses it to make my life worse. There is no benefit to me in the operation of this government.
So, yes. Shut the federal government down. We'll be better off with it pared back to strictly essential functions, and even some of those we can probably live without. It is long past time. Hopefully we can crash the damned thing past repair when the debt limit comes up for a vote.
