Dec. 6th, 2014 10:24 pmAP is calling the Louisana runoff as 65% Cassidy, 35% Landrieu. If that margin stands, that ties the record for the worst steamrollering ever suffered by an incumbent senator.
I'd feel a bit sorry for her if it weren't for her brazen cynicism in suddenly becoming a cheerleader for the Keystone pipeline a scant week after failing to carry the initial election. That's after she helped Obama block it for two years as chair of the Energy Committee.
Edit: Now it's 64% to 36%. She may avoid the shame of being the worst ever.
Edit: Final tally seems to be 55.94% to 44.06%. Still a blowout, but not to the point where she'd have to change her name and have plastic surgery to escape the shame.
