In the News, and Otherwise
Sep. 18th, 2019 10:13 pmIt is astonishing how much goes on in the Syrian war that is just not reported in Western news outlets.

Also, back on Saturday, the Syrian army seemed to be shelling the holy hell out of rebel positions that controlled the M5 highway (SW approach to Allepo), that if taken would result in another huge pocket of defenders cut off from support. That nibbling away strategy seems to be what the Syrians are wedded to, and it seems to have worked so far. Then, suddenly, it seems that they just stopped, and now not much is going on overtly, which is probably a sign that something is happening behind the scenes.

While I appreciate the good intentions, I can't help but think this "rescue" looks more like the dolphins were quietly hanging out in the canal for a few days, then the humans chased them away.
