Jul. 17th, 2020 02:22 pmThis bothers me. The guy's an asshole, obviously, as well as having a ridiculous name and being tatooed like a lifer, BUT, the homeless guy was an adult, and free to refuse. If the state is going to make the case that he was mentally ill or otherwise unable to judge the potential danger of the act, then why was he allowed to wander the streets unsupervised?

Every so often, something goes right. Given that the UN is lobbying hard to get more money out of us for the third world, perhaps we should condition our aid on their compliance with Western principles? We're absolutely livid with outrage about China's treatment of the Uyghurs, and all that's happening to them is forced re-education. Do the lives of gay Africans not matter?

In which a compelling argument is raised against the Democratic Party. Should they be replaced with something new, considering that their past actions don't meet current ideals of racial equality?
