So... Governor Holcomb did, I suppose, a not totally objectionable job with regard to the Chinese Doom. I don't find the wearing of masks as onerous as do so many, so the mask edicts don't bother me that much, especially since you can just ignore them with no consequences if it pleases you^1. I generally wear mine out of politeness. Still... He cancelled the State Fair, and he effectively ruined the Five Hundred, when probably both of these, and most assuredly the Five Hundred, might have been held with reasonable safety.
I'd love to have
Donald Rainwater, the Libertarian, as Governor of Indiana instead. There's effectively zero chance of him winning, but the real question becomes whether it's safe to vote for him as a protest vote.
^1 The Attorney General just cut Holcomb's feet off right from under him by explaining the day afterward that the Governor *can* mandate that you wear a mask, but no-one in the state has power to enforce that mandate, and there are no legal consequences attached. There's a bit of a long-term pissing match going on there :)
