As I was just saying, let's get the ground troops out, and let's use saturation-bombing!

In general, I deplore the modern idea that wars have to be fought against ideologies, and not against people. Ideologies have no power without people on the ground believing them. It's a conceptual trap, and it's one that we drifted into during and after Vietnam, particularly after the My Lai incident. It has cost us rivers of American blood, and piles of American treasure. Hopefully those days are over. Fighting wars openly and rapidly, with overwhelming force, will probably even save enemy lives in the long run. Certainly it will reduce the suffering undergone by people forced to live in perpetual warzones.

[personal profile] moonhare advises that there's a new Animaniacs series. I'd not known. I'd have probably worked it out eventually from the flood of Animaniacs porn that I'm seeing, though.

We've finally characterized the BDS people as anti-semitic. 'bout time. Regular Nazis, at least, are brave enough to say openly what they believe.

Someone tried to smuggle Lories inside plastic bottles. I know that kind of stuff goes on, but it horrifies me nonetheless. I can imagine the poor birds in their bondage, terrified and bewildered, without a clue what's going on or that it will eventually stop. I honestly doubt that the ten suffocated. A lot of birds will just shut down and die in a really frightening situation, when they're denied the ability to change it in any way. The survivors seem quite tame, sitting on the table with humans around, eating bananas.

So, I like instant ramen noodles. This marks me as a person of plebeian tastes, but so be it. At any rate, I was at the store, and decided to get some of the Nissin Cup Noodles. Now these things are, quite correctly I fear, characterized as 'Purina student chow', and a hot meal for those who can't afford anything else, or who lack even basic cooking skills. Meijers was rationing them at a limit of two individual cups. I don't disapprove of rationing in general, to make sure that everyone gets some, but in this case, what happens to the people who can't afford better, or couldn't cook it if they could afford better?
