Auschwitz has a gift shop. Apparently Dachau and Buchenwald have one as well. These are the kinds of ideas that used to get me sent to the principal's office on a fairly regular basis in junior high.

I first saw a Fanta history article on Snopes.

I really had no idea that Coca-Cola was popular in Germany either. It seems odd, considering how deadset the Nazis were against caffeine. Also, Coca-Cola pretty much hammered it in with their wartime advertising that it was the quintessential American beverage. I'm guessing that picture of Fat Hermann drinking Coke will probably never see the light of day.
