So, it took him nine months, but Obama is finally going to try to do something useful. I wish him success.

Given the trajectory of the US I'm all for holding an Olympics in Chicago in 2016. Within a few years we'll have an awesome collection of ruined and deserted facilities to stand as a monument to our economic folly.

(Think what's left over from the 1984 Sarajevo winter games, but hopefully with fewer bomb craters.)
