LOLOL!! That completely cracked me up, for some reason, although since I've still got lung congestion my insane cackling ended in a paroxysm of coughing and wheezing :)

I've had two Bissels now (I gave the older one away and upgraded to a newer one with attachments) and have been really happy with them. My mom's, on the other hoof, broke after about a year, and I've heard bad reports from others too.

Rug Doctor sells home versions of their extractors these days, at least in the States, but those things are huge, and would take up the entire closet. It's not that hard to get a used commercial machine, too, if you want one that will last forever. You need a garage or a basement to store that sort of thing, though, and they're costly, even used.
