Time will tell, but I suspect that Elizabeth Warren may have hurt herself badly tonight by pretending to believe that the audience were laughing at her friend having ALS, instead of her own eagerness to use a sob story to avoid an unwelcome question. People dislike that when it's done well, and this was clumsy.
