Chile have cancelled not only their World Rally Cup race, but also the rest of their soccer season. From South Americans, that's pretty much an admission of utter catastrophe.

It's mean-spirited of me, but I'd love to see them cancel the Pan-Am games. I think America would have a good chance of picking those up if that happened. That's how we got the 1985 iteration, and the same thing had happened about ten years prior. Every time Santiago has gotten the nod, they end up having massive rioting and have to cancel.
