There might not have been anything for the doctor to do, except go through the motions of installing a stent and hoping the patient wakes up some day.
He (along with the nurses and techs) will be blamed and executed anyway, I'm sure. It had occurred to me as well that it was quite auspicious timing for the TT's dear sister to have been elevated to the politburo just last month. If she *did* poison him, then the doctor's sure to get the chop.
I wonder too how many stents an NK surgeon gets to install in his life? I'm sure it's not a routine procedure there.
