So, yesterday Biden was promising to have all of us vaccinated by spring. Today, his timeline has slipped to summer.

Oh piffle, no state with at least a moderately large population is going to succeed in vaccinating all who want it for at least two years, by which time the pandemic will have reached everyone and will be spreading again via some new variants. Even with my local governments best boasts, full vaccination should take four years, seeing as everyone has to be vaccinated twice. Pfizer was getting interviewed on the radio (about the EU making noises about not getting shots fast enough) and the spokesperson was proud to say they'll produce one billion shots by year's end. Hello? There are 7 billion people on the planet? And was that just one shot of two? So yeah, don't hold your breath. We're just saving the old and decrepit so that they don't jam up the health system. If we're lucky.

It looked, initially, as though Indiana would manage to do 100% of the population in just 50 weeks. That rate has fallen way off, though. I have, at any rate, gotten my mother vaccinated, so that's one less thing to worry about.

Verbiage alert! The author of that mouse article must have been paid by the word, because it was about a thousand words longer than it needed to be. The mouse wasn't even mentioned until the 8th paragraph. Sheesh.
