So, it's time to buy a new kitchen faucet. I went to see what Lowes has. And their top-end faucet is... $3200. Admittedly, it's a very cool-looking faucet. It's built of hinged segments, like an industrial robot's arm, so that you can move the tip to where ever you want it (same functionality as a hand sprayer, except much cooler and more expensive - also extra joint seals to leak and need to be serviced). I could never use it without thinking what else I could have bought instead of a fancy faucet with that money.

Style concerns me as well. I want something that looks like it belongs in the house (built in 1947). And I want a reasonable GPM rating. None of this 'water-saving' crap. There is no water shortage where I live.

Were it not for the fact that tens of thousands of Europeans are going to die because of it, I would be laughing my ass off at the EU's chronic incompetence.

So, Canada also joined that Covax scheme, but they're doing the smart thing, and demanding that Covax supply them with vaccine for 20% of their population, as they're entitled. Apparently, as one of the underwriters, they can demand to get their vaccine before the third world countries do.

$3,200 faucet sounds like Department of Defense procurement!

Good luck with the faucet! I just like one that won't BREAK or LEAK for 20 years or more. :D

Yeah, if it lasts 20 years, I'm good.

Until we got town water I didn’t realize our kitchen faucet was a low GPM item. I found out when using the ‘unregulated’ sprayer, and was like, “Whoa! This never worked like this before!”

I suppose you could just modify the aerator on the faucet to allow more GPM: our pump was set to lower pressure than the town’s so it wasn’t an appreciable difference between the sprayer and tap.

A lot of them just have a little throttle disk upstream of the aerator, and you can drill that out, and you're good. The problem is that not all of them are that way, and it's not something they advertise on the box.
