So, I found out through one of the Little Pony boards that one of the Care Bears boards was shut down recently because of people making death threats against one another. Geez. The Care Bears never really struck me as being that passionate.

Oddly enough I can see the Little Ponies going to war. A certain proportion of the MLP fan fiction (fanart too) is quite blood-drenched. The villains in their cartoons always meant business. They were usually out to kill or enslave the Ponies. They weren't the half-hearted sort of cartoon villains who want to do something generically bad for the sake of defying authority.

BEIJING - A woman in Hohhot, the capital of north China's Inner Mongolia region, crashed her car while giving her dog a driving lesson, the official Xinhua News Agency said Monday.

"She thought she would let the dog 'have a try' while she operated the accelerator and brake," the report said. "They did not make it far before crashing into an oncoming car."

Maybe it's just because so many people live there that almost anything is likely to happen, but China strikes me as one fucked up place.
