The Skepticism is Upon Me

So, it appears that God alone knows what's in the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. I don't for a second trust Biden's assurances that the batches that have already been shot into people's arms were just fine, and only the ones they caught in the factory today were contaminated.

I'm fully okay with the idea that J&J should receive a reward for developing a vaccine to spec. They took on the challenge, and they met the in-hindsight remarkably low goal that was set. That's fair, and they should get their payoff for it, as promised. Pfizer and Moderna both hit a home run, though. Those are the vaccines we should be pushing. Using the Defence Authorization Act to 'encourage' J&J to license their vaccine to sub-standard third-party producers (pretty much all that's left unused at this point) is bound to lead to incidents like this. J&J have been a reliable medical provider for much longer than my lifetime. Their credibility is taking a hit, though.

That particular company that ruined the batch of J&J? They are largely responsible for strong-arming the gov't into skewing the medical emergency stockpile to being massively oversupplied with anthrax vaccine when antibiotics will treat you just fine, which also forced funding to them rather than loading up the stockpile with N95 masks and ventilators.

I hope there's a special place in hell for the people who founded and run that company.

I don't know if there were other companies making the J&J vax. It's definitely a serious issue. My ex-GF in Phoenix, her doc wants her to get the J&J because she has some serious medical problems and weird reactions to meds, so the doc would prefer her to get 'one and done' rather than having to get two vaccine shots.
