Okay, I did the Belief-o-Matic thing, and it seems pretty accurate. I was raised United Methodist, which is pretty much the definition of 'liberal Christian'. That sort of thing apparently stays with one. It interests me that Jehovah's Witness seems to be the antithesis (at least as antithetical as it gets at 24% - that part seems accurate too, as it'd be hard to come up with articles of faith that would actually offend most liberal protestants - you'd pretty much have to be a Satanist or something) of my beliefs.

Also I had my car worked on today. The pipe that connects the resonator to the muffler finally came loose yesterday. If the truth be known, I like the way that engine (Suzuki 'Swift' 1L) sounds with just a resonator - a very assertive, blaring tone under throttle, which mellows out to a deep burbling at idle. It makes the car sound a lot more impressive than it really is.

However, the noise ordinance enforcers are sure to eventually catch up with one, so I took it to be fixed. I made an appointment last night with the muffler shop to have that done. Upon showing up at my appointed time, I discovered that the shop where I'd taken it before had moved, unbeknownst to me. After a quick phone call and some hunting about, I found the new location, only a few minutes late. It develops that when they moved, the corporate office had managed to delete a large percentage of their customer records, so that they had no record of having worked on my car previously, nor of whether I'd purchased the special lifetime warranty on the work that was done last time (part of which needed to be replaced this time). I'm not sure myself, although I suspect that I probably didn't get the lifetime warranty, given my usual cheapness. At any rate, the shop owner treated it as lifetime warranteed, and charged any loss back to corporate, which was nice. I got a new muffler and pipe for free, which makes for a pleasant experience. It's nice to have stuff turn out more cheaply than you'd expected.

URLs are nice, especially if you'd rather use a witty title for the site instead of the real one.

Sorry about that. http://www.beliefnet.org/story/76/story_7665_1.html And 'Belief-o-Matic' is the actual name of the thing :)

I guess we want the results?
