We're having a late-winter blizzard. Saints preserve us from the sort of fool who thinks that because he has a Jeep with 4 wheel drive and all weather tires he can do anything. Jeeps are marketed like toys, so it's perhaps not surprising how people act with them. The flipped-over wreckage of one is visible right now from my bedroom window. I'm halfway sorry I didn't see it happen, actually, as it must have been impressive in a 'Dukes of Hazzard' sort of way. The police don't seem to be overly concerned with extracting the driver. I've a strong feeling Uncle Charles has come calling.

Those are always amusing. People who drive SUV type things are usually clueless about what they are and are not capable of. Last year some woman in an excessively large 4x4 came down the street, exceeding the posted speed limit, three feet of snow notwithstanding, and tried to turn a corner. Newton's laws came into effect, and she turned, alright, right into a telephone pole.
