So, now the jolly Forum Goons have undergone an en-masse bannination from Live Journal, just like happened to them on Second Life. As usual, they're having trouble understanding the relationship between cause and effect: http://www.livejournal.com/users/ruxpin_exe/680405.html

Watching the Goons in action is a lot like watching the retarded guys from the group home doing yard work. Most of the time it's boring, now and again you can have some fun speculating on what they're trying to accomplish, and then every so often you get these moments where you just have to stare slack-jawed and go "WTF!?!?". :)

I don't know; these sorts of losers tend to annoy me more than amuse me. They're the people who wanted to be the bullies in middle school and couldn't make it then, and I honestly can't stand watching them long enough to find the occasional bursts of ironic humor they produce.

It doesn't help my impression that typing actual words is apparently too much effort for them to put into anything.

Actually, I find politicians to be a rich source of such moments; recently, for example, Shrub actually admits that a war on an abstract concept is not winnable. Yay! Followed by a complete refutation of that position the next day. Kerry's response? To agree with the incumbent that everything must be done to win said "war". Yowsa! How's that for a daringly contrasting viewpoint?

Or there was that accusation by the Speaker of the House that George Soros was a drugs kingpin.

No wonder political satire's so scarce in the US. ^_^

Sorry, but, um... who are these people, and why do we care?

Couldn't say that I found anything interesting other than the fact the guy felt the need to post several times a day.

My unpopular opinion

Here's what I saw:
salj is a group of trolls that enjoys mocking groups of people. As usual, the furries are a popular target. Frankly, its not hard to see why. Furry is a lot of things to a lot of people, but one aspect of it is a sexual fetish and other aspects of it is something that the social norm would find disquieting.

They do their thing. On the furry parents list, one of the accusers says "Your kids will be grouped yiffed". The way I took that was that if you expose kids to furries they will be gang raped. The way the furry parent community took it was that the salj community was threatening to group yiff the kids.

Much explosion, including salj wondering "What happened?".

I don't know what happened on furrtiv or other places which contributed to this train wreck.

The salj group are bullies and jerks; I'm glad they got what was coming to them. Ironically a lot of them (cookiecache comes to mind) have icons that are quite furryesque.

Yeah, they're annoying, and I'm not the least bit sorry to see them banned myself. At the same time, I'm still amused by what I'm pretty sure is their honest befuddlement at being banned. The whole SA group is just so /clueless/.
