Presumably that kangaroo knows where he's going.

"Away from the photographer" is my guess.

Kangaroos have been known to swim for fairly long distances between islands and the mainland, so it's not inconcievible that he might of been standing there waiting to screw up courage go somewhere. Where would be the question, of course.

Of course, maybe he just had hot feet.

I like the picture where he's standing in the surf, and you can see the sand suspended in the water that's churning around his tail. It's a very tactile picture. I can just imagine how that'd feel, all the sand and little pebbles and shells swirling around.

Old fella looks like he's going for The Big Swim. It's a one-way trip he's on...

I'm told that Kangaroos will take to water if they feel threatened. I'm assuming he just went out there until the photographer went away.

My wallabies like to sit in their pool. They don't have water deep enough to swim in, so I've never seen it, but them and the wallaroos love being sprayed with the hose in warm weather. Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure that fellow's technically a wallaroo, not a kangaroo. I can't make out his nose well enough to be sure, but short of a definitive ID of the nosepad, I'm as sure as I can be he's a wallaroo. And I agree his destination is "away from the photographer" rather generically.

I don't think the camels have a chance of winning against the Volvo entry.

It's a spirited effort, though.

This year it was Lisboa-Dakar, not Paris-Dakar.

But the photos are nice indeed!

I was thinking of you, yes :)
