Windows Ten

So, after using Linux and Android for years, I got a Win 10 laptop. I really wanted to like it. I used to hold an MCSE for Win 98 and NT4, which were two great OSes I loved working with. I keep finding, though, that the more "features" I disable or outright break on this, the easier it is to use. That's not how an OS should be.

One of my local public libraries has recently upgraded (if that's the word) from Win7 to Win10, and I'm not especially pleased. Maybe it's just that I'd got used to 7, but I thought it was a pretty solid OS, and so far I'd call it nicer to use than 10.

Yeah, I'm not sure if it's that I'm less accepting of change as I get older, or whether stuff just keeps getting stupider in an effort to sell something "new". I suspect it's some of each.
