An Age of Bricks

People are going berserk over this stupid PlayStation. Das Goof reports people camping out in his store, waiting to buy it.
I'll confess that I've never understood the allure of video game hardware. I bought my Genesis so I could play 'Spirit of Speed' and 'Ecco the Dolphin'. I got my GameBoy to play 'Pokemon Silver'. I don't think the people who want the PS3 really care what games you can play with it, though. They want that particular piece of hardware to play on.

A leaf that was on my windshield Saturday. They're falling hundreds at a time now, every time the wind blows.

Wet leaves in the gutter reflect the sky. I generally dislike the autumn intensely, but for some reason I'm finding that it works for me this year. It harmonizes well with my awareness of my own mortality, I think, which probably ought not to please me, but then I'm weird. I should become a goth, but I don't think I could pull off the whole air of tragic resignation that it seems to require. I wonder if being like Uncle Fester counts as being gothical?
