So, even das Beeb no longer provides a refuge from OSU vs. Michigan:

Everything is decorated here at work. One poor woman who went to Michigan came in two hours early this morning to remove all the OSU stuff that people had encrusted her desk with, and then wander about the place putting up Michigan decorations in other people's workspaces.

I went to Indiana, so I'm a neutral party.

There'll be a riot Saturday night, I'm sure.

Edit: And Michigan's coach seems to have fallen over dead, which certainly puts a damper on the festivities. :(

Further edit: And it seems to have been ex-coach Bo Schembechler who died. He was undoubtedly their favourite.

Fur those Brits reading, who don't seem to recognize a cultural prohibition against running up scores, kicking a field goal when your side is up 55 to 0 is basically the equivalent of "I piss on your mother's grave". Also, obscenity in America depends on 'community standards', so an argument that a statement accurately represents the feelings of the community is an adequate defense.

That's probably the only mention of any length it will get, though. As the article says, college sport as a serious spectator event is completely and utterly alien to the UK - and I don't think there's a 110,000-capacity stadium for any sport in the entire country, professional teams included.
