Not a promising beginning...

On the bright side, a cruelly entertaining commercial from Blockbuster, with a lovely CGI rabbit, guinea pig, and mouse.

Halftime: What a strange football game. This is why football should be played in open-air stadia, and not under domes.

And the first-ever superbowl halftime show that I would have paid to see. :)

And the mighty Colts have won the Superbowl. :D

I'm actually watching this, since surprisingly a major terrestrial channel (ITV1) is showing it live. I don't have a clue what's going on, of course, but the weather is amusing me. I'm pleased to see natural grass as well: I don't much like artificial surfaces for sport.

I'm surprised that it's being shown there. I'd thought of it pretty much as an American sport. I'm greatlky enojying the weather. Most teams (the Colts included) play inside anymore. Football really should be played on grass, in whatever the weather happens to be.

The Bears are beginning to fall apart, I think. I'm surprised, since I didn't think they would.

I don't think it's been on ITV1 before, though I may be wrong. The time difference helps, though: I very much doubt it would ever be shown in primetime. Baseball we get from time to time, and ice hockey; not much basketball.

I hope you enjoyed it. That was a good game, if a bit odd :)

I can't get CBS here, so I'm pretty much SOL. What was good about the halftime show?

It was Prince, and he was quite good. They didn't have a lot of silliness - he just stood up and played. He also finished with "Purple Rain", lit with dim purple floods, in the pouring rain. I have no idea how long in advance it was planned, but it really worked.

Blockbuster! That's who did that commercial! I started looking for it online at Halftime and could never find it!

Prince did a good job, gotta admit. And I was laughing my ass off on that first TD return, but the Colts won out in the end.

Damn good show, especially considering I'm hardly a football fan.

I couldn't find it online either. Nor did it seem to be in the voting pools for best commercial.

That BBuster commercial made me crack up. Only one that did.

A cruel, yet funny, commercial.
