Personally, if I'd just invented a new type of parachute, my first test would not consist of jumping off the Eiffel Tower with it.

Apple decides that DRM is a money-waster. I'd congratulate Jobs on his keen grasp of the obvious, except that I can't help but notice that he's waited until the release of Vista, (which is literally encrusted with DRM) to have his epiphany. Better done for cynical reasons that not at all, though.

I scored only 4.4 on the "Authoritarian Personality" scale. I'd expected to score higher. Interestingly, the author considers a positive answer to question #26 Human nature being what it is, there will always be war and conflict to be indicative of "generalized hostility, villification of the human". I have to conclude that 1950 was a more hopeful age, when it was still possible to believe that everyone truly desired peace, freedom and prosperity.
