Having soup. I never really considered the conceptual difference between eating and drinking from the spoon, but I can see how it would make a difference. The design of Japanese spoons (like little ladles, almost) suddenly makes much more sense. I've been using them wrong.

There are many reasons not to vote for Obama, but inhaling in college isn't one of them.  Nor are parking tickets that were paid before the press found out about them.  Isn't it a bigger deal that he is apparently *still* smoking tobacco?

I don't really care if the man smokes - he's not tried to depict himself as an anti-tobacco activist. He *has*, though, carried on a great deal about integrity and responsibility. That doesn't accord frightfully well with paying decades-old parking tickets as a clean-up measure just before running for President. A man who really valued responsibility would have dealt with those earlier.
