I bought IAMS for Flaster once, but wasn't terribly impressed with it, nor did he seem to be. It doesn't especially surprise me to find that some of the heavily marketed 'premium' brands are made by the same people that make cheap food. They look the same. IAMS just didn't look that appetizing, and Flaster just kind of picked at it. That's one way to keep the Qat's weight under control, but not the one that I'd choose. Flaster normally gets dry food, with a small plate or two of wet food each day. For wet food, he gets a rotation of Sheba (very nice little slices of meat - it looks and smells like table scraps), Fancy Feast (lots of variety, and an unusually large portion of gravy, which he loves) and Nine Lives, which is cheap, but he seems to like it - again, it's heavy on the gravy.
I worry sometimes that I'm not angstful enough to be a proper furry. Either I'm reasonably happy, or I'm too dense to grasp that I'm really not, which comes to about the same thing, IMHO.
