What ever happened to dignified poses for statues? All of the ones made since the War seem to be flailing their arms about like bad actors doing Shakespeare. The "Sieg Heil" statue of Walt Disney at Anaheim is probably the premier example.

I see where Bush wants to waste more money on New Orleans. I wonder sometimes if the liberals haven't done away with the real W, and this is just some guy wearing a disguise. That would explain a lot, actually.

Holy crap! Americans own like 30% of the world's privately held small arms. I suppose I should buy a gun. I'm not doing my proper share as an American. I want an Ingram .45 machine pistol.

The full 2007 Small Arms Survey (http://www.smallarmssurvey.org/files/sas/publications/yearb2007.html) looks like being interesting reading, though I haven't got time to do more than glance at it just yet. One thing I did find amusing, though, was that England & Wales (six guns per 100 people) ranks just ahead of Iran (5 per 100). =:P
