Awesome. I always get goosebumps when I hear The Musical Box. All the more stirring to see it live!

Oh, the yes! Nursery Cryme was the first non-Beatles album that I got deeply, heavily into. Mike the Hippie introduced me to it. That would have been around 1975 or so, I think. That's just shivery music, especially with that really churchy, dissonant organ. I was very much obsessed with death and the redirected sexuality of the Victorian worldview at the time too, which helped.

That's the only LP I ever actually wore out. I played it so much the grooves wore down, and I had to buy another :) I can't think of it now without recalling young Cynthia's lopsided smile, and the Mad Hatter inside, proclaiming "The Fabulous Charisma Label!" We used to sit and pick details out of the album covers while we listened, and try to relate those to the music. It's a drawback of CDs, that the older covers were meant to be 12" square, and a lot of the detail is lost in the modern packaging.

O.o It even has its own wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Musical_Box_%28song%29).
