Ed Carpenter and AJ Foyt IV qualified 2nd and 3rd at Homestead. That's an unexpected, if welcome, result. John Menard is apparently sponsoring Vision Racing (the Speedway-owned team) this year too, which is interesting, and also unexpected. My understanding was that Vision was deliberately unsponsored to free up money for other teams.

Plan views of various racing cars. An excellent resource for scratch modelling.

Weasel Boy Beer! They're serving their weaselistic brew someplace downtown here, too...

Columbus Zoo has Otter babies!

This time worked better than their previous effort.

Don't miss the slide show, which is somewhat hidden.

Edit: And, having just arrived home, I discovered a French 20 Euro-cent piece decorating my parking space. It's a mystery to me.

They didn't get it exactly right. The egg and sperm get together right away, and the fertilized zygote divides into an 8-celled blastocyst. That's the point at which it stops for about 10 months, floating free in the uterus, just before it would implant into the uterine wall.

Congratulations on the new babies though. :-)

That sounded like a kind of flaky explanation, yeah. I'm mainly interested in the cute Otter babies, though.
