Obama, meanwhile, gave an open-air rally in Berlin. You know who else liked to do that?

The campaign has gotten really boring these past few weeks, after a very promising primary season. Hopefully it'll pick up once they've chosen their VPs. Each seems to be waiting for the other to go first.

They're not going to let Iraq be in the Olympics, which I think is kind of cruel. It's not the athletes' fault. They should at least let them compete under the Olympic flag.

The Olympics is a contest of nations pretending to be a contest of athletes.  If they said it was permissible to compete "under the Olympic flag" that would ruin the whole nationalism thing, so where would the money come from then?  It's all about the money!

IIRC, Taiwan used to always go under the Olympic flag. Everyone knows where the 'Olympic flagged' athletes are from, anyway.
