See? The American justice system works after all, and far from being the perfect counter-example that everyone thought OJ was, he's actually proof that it DOES work.

If a criminal avoids conviction of one crime because the legal system is so ridiculous and pathetic, it makes them feel they can get away with anything. So they eventually do something so blatantly that it can't be anything other than an open and shut case and they end up being kept in prison until their late 70's (possibly past their life expectancy - effectively, a life sentence).
