George would be proper, but the name in general usage has become archaic. It has a rough-hewn sound to it, almost abrasive, and little of the requisite sense of glamour. Overall, there's been remarkably little diversity in English/British regnal names up to this point. My hope is that they will choose a name that hasn't been used before, like Francis did for his papacy. Christopher, Alexander, Michael, and Paul come to mind.
Ah! I see Alexander is on the 'short list' (at least as far as bettors are concerned). Interesting! Am really praying against Louis, though. I've never liked that name. Too French.
