YEEHAW!! A-10 just came over, so low I could've hit it with a rock. Like always, there's just a second or two of "What's that sound? Is that a jet?", and then it's directly overhead.
I sometimes wonder if I see so many of them because my car has that American flag on the back. I can imagine training missions like 'Shoot up the yellow house, but don't hit the car with the American flag'.
Addendum: And they ALWAYS come from the west (which is the direction where they could see the big flag on my car) and pass right overhead, even though Grissom AFB is to the south.
