It looks as though Anthony Kennedy is shuffling off into history, which is in some ways a pity. He was always the most consistently decent of the justices, upholding the Constitution, and trying to prevent the government from interfering in the lives of private citizens any more than necessary.

I'm delighted to see that Trump is going to have a summit with Putin. That's long overdue, IMHO. One of the benefits that I'd hoped for when Trump was elected was that we'd turn away from Germany and the EU, and toward Russia. I largely blame the Senate for that not happening. Far too many of them are wedded to the outdated philosophy of the Cold War.
For what it's worth, I like Putin. He has sane, predictable goals. He wants to restore the Russian Empire, and sees his own country's welfare as more important than that of other countries. He's a man you can work with. Instead of constantly seeking to undermine him, we ought to be working together.
