Failure Abounds
Jul. 11th, 2022 03:21 pmI have long considered CNN to be the absolute bottom-feeders of junk news. It's therefore striking to me that even they can see the unwelcome truth that seems to elude Biden and the EU.

They're partying like it's 1776 in Sri Lanka. I rather expect we'll see a lot of that before the year is out.

Germany is apparently planning nationwide "heat islands" for people to keep warm in when their supply of gas runs out or becomes unaffordable. Presumably they're going to prioritize gas for essential industries over civilians. Plumbers, of course, will get rich.
I seem to recall that the last time the Germans tried to impose their will on the Russians, the results were distinctly sub-optimal.
